Obituary

Alfred Earl Adams Sr. of Longview, TX departed this life on October 
18, 2022, at 5:30 pm at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in 
Longview, TX.Alfred was born on September 13, 1954, in Tatum, TX. He was the fifth son of the late Jessie Adams and Elizabeth Guice-Adams. Alfred attended Tatum High School and graduated in 1974. He was an active member of Greater Zion Hill Baptist Church and baptized at the age of 10. Later, he joined Fredonia Baptist Church where he became a faithful member and a part of the male chorus. Even though his health was failing on the day that the lord called him to be with him it was one of his most joyous days of his life.
In 1976, he married his high school sweetheart and the love of his 
life, Marquet Isaac-Adams. They met after his sister wrote her a letter for him and told her that he wanted to meet her. His sister made a match made in heaven and knows they will be together again.
Those who will cherish his memory are his two sons Alfred Jr. and 
Markeith Lyn and one daughter Brittney. One very special sister, Ethel Bradford (Donaldson), and three brothers, Albert Jr, Herbert T, and Jessie Lee (Betty); Three grandchildren, Kyler Adams, his pride and joy, Jayceon Riggs and Jashawn Riggs; Two special nephews, Jamie Peterson and Jamal Peterson; God daughters, Christina Choice and Kourtney Johnson; Three special neighbors, Kathleen Simmons, Vicky Thompson, and Mozell Johnson. He was also considered “day parents” to Ardyn Isaac and Desmond Thompson. A very special nephew, Everegister Jr. (Regina). A special mother-in-law, Mable Louise Isaac; sisters-in-laws Rosie Peterson (Leo) and Kathy Geter; brother-in-law Eddie Isaac (Kermit).
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Adams, brother, 
Everegister Sr, brother-in-law, Felix Isaac Jr, sister-in-law Imogene Adams, his Aunt Faye Adams, and sister-in-law Costella Adams.
There are a host of first cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and 
many more close associates that he worked with at Tatum School District, Pine Tree High School, and over 35 years at Texas Eastman.
